Hollis Park Partners LP ("Hollis Park"), founded by T. Troy Dixon in 2013, is an alternative asset manager that specializes in structured products.  Hollis Park seeks to produce long-term returns through a combination of long and short positions in a broad range of securitized products. These products include Agency RMBS, Non-Agency RMBS, ABS, CDOs, CLOs, CMBS, equity-related securities, derivatives, total return swaps and various other instruments consistent with our return objectives.

Troy Dixon, Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer

Troy Dixon is Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Hollis Park Partners. Troy has over 20 years of trading experience within structured products. Most recently, he served as a Managing Director and Head of RMBS Trading Group at Deutsche Bank where he led a top-ranked group of 70 investment professionals. While at Deutsche Bank, Troy was also a member of the Corporate Banking & Securities Americas Executive Committee and a member of the Rates and Credit Trading Executive Committee. Troy also served on the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association’s (SIFMA) RMBS Executive Board. Black Enterprise Magazine named Troy one of the “Top 75 Most Powerful Blacks on Wall Street” and one of the “Most Powerful Players Under 40.” He was also named one of Investment Dealer’s Digest’s “Top 40 under 40.” Troy sits on the boards of the Apollo Theater and Boys Hope Girls Hope. He earned his B.A. from The College of the Holy Cross where he was a varsity letter winner in football and baseball and currently sits on the President’s Council.

Joseph Valentine, Portfolio Manager and Partner

Joe Valentine is a Portfolio Manager at Hollis Park Partners with a strong background in mortgage derivative securities. Joe most recently co-headed securitized products at CRT Capital and also traded the mortgage derivative book. Prior to the merger with CRT, he was a founding partner and head of Fixed Income at Braver Stern Securities Corp from 2008-2011. Before starting the institutional business at Braver Stern, Joe was a Managing Director at UBS culminating in co-heading Securitized Product trading in March 2008. He joined UBS in 2003 from Bear Stearns to trade the mortgage derivative book, and eventually co-headed both the Agency and Non-Agency CMO desks. He started his financial career at Bear Stearns where he was a Senior Managing Director running the mortgage derivative desk. Prior to entering the finance industry, Joe served as a Naval Officer in both Navy Special Ops and Surface Warfare. As a surface warfare officer, he commanded aircraft carrier battle group air defenses in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. In the special ops arena, Joe was integral in the planning of and preparation for missions and exercises for Navy Seals. He received his B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy.

Aleksey Zaurov, Associate Portfolio Manager

Aleksey Zaurov is an Associate Portfolio Manager at Hollis Park Partners, with 12 years of sales and trading experience across agency and non-agency structured products, rates, and derivatives.  In his current role, Aleksey focuses on trade execution, idea generation, market technicals, and relative value analysis.  Prior to joining Hollis Park, Aleksey worked as a subject matter expert, consulting on various projects in the investment management community, including ensuring the operational integrity of portfolios and oversight of infrastructure build-out.  Prior to that, Aleksey held various analyst and junior trader positions on structured credit desks, including at Amaranth Advisors, Dillon Read Capital Management and the UBS Proprietary Trading Group.  Aleksey started his career in 2004 at Moody’s Investors Services as a structured finance surveillance analyst and holds a B.B.A in Finance and Quantitative Economics from PACE University.

Robert Coors, Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer

Robert Coors has over 28 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to becoming the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer at Hollis Park Partners, Bob worked at Apollo Global Management where he held a senior management position in the Structure Credit Group. He was responsible for structuring financing solutions across the firm’s various funds and businesses, including their CLO origination and distribution platform. Prior to Apollo, Bob was employed by Stone Tower Capital as a Senior Portfolio Manager. (Stone Tower was acquired by Apollo.) Bob’s primary focus at Stone Tower was to assist in the formation and fund management of the structured credit business, including infrastructure design (front-to-back office), portfolio management, asset financing and marketing/fund raising. Previously, Bob was with WestLB AG where he formed and managed an AA-rated credit derivatives product company. Prior thereto, Bob was a Senior Vice President at Assured Guaranty where he was responsible for overseeing the firm’s global structured credit business in both corporate and non-corporate backed assets. Prior to Assured Guaranty, Bob worked for Capital Re Corporation as a Senior Vice President. Capital Re was acquired by ACE Group and renamed Assured Guaranty. While at Capital Re, Bob was Chief Operating Officer of the reinsurance subsidiary and was responsible for the day-to-day reinsurance activities. Previously, Bob was employed at Merrill Lynch as a Vice President in the FX derivatives group and was responsible for designing option pricing models and risk metrics for the firm’s global FX book, a role he previously held at Bankers Trust. Prior to these roles, Bob was with Drexel Burnham Lambert as a quantitative analyst/programmer supporting their corporate high yield bond desk. Bob started his career at Grumman Aerospace where he was a software programmer in their aircraft design department. Bob holds a B.S. in quantitative analysis from St. John’s University and an M.B.A from Hofstra University.

Janet Biller, Chief of Infrastructure

Janet Biller is the Chief of Infrastructure at Hollis Park Partners LP.  Janet is responsible for managing all the daily post-trade operational aspects of Hollis Park including paydowns, trade reconciliation, and creating the daily P&L.  She has over 21 years of experience in the financial services industry.  Prior to Hollis Park, Janet worked at BNP Paribas where she was the Senior Business Manager leading Regulatory, Operational Fixed Income, and the Equity Derivatives working group initiatives.  As part of these efforts, she was focused on FINRA 4210 interpretations and their downstream impacts at BNP.  Janet was also involved with the new UMBS (Universal Mortgage Back Securities) operational initiatives and its impact on contracts, investment documents, systems and processes internally.  Janet’s MBS experience can be traced back to her time at Deutsche Bank and Morgan Stanley where she held various roles within RMBS Trading, Mortgage Back Securities Product  Control and the Fixed Income Product Control groups.  Janet has held operational and business roles at Argus Information and Advisory Services, Commerzbank, N.A.,  and Thomson Reuters in between her tenure at BNP and Deutsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, and HSBC Securities.  Janet started her career at J.P. Morgan Securities where she was an Associate in the Operations Accounting and Financial Control Group.  Janet holds a B.A. in Psychology from Rutgers University and attended Temple University for graduate courses in finance.

Ajai Thomas, Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations and Business Development

Ajai Thomas is Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations and Business Development at Hollis Park Partners. Prior to joining Hollis Park Partners, he was Vice President of Sales at Deutsche Bank Alternative Fund Services. He was responsible for providing operational outsourcing, financing, and distribution solutions to hedge funds, fund of hedge funds, family offices, and other investors in the alternative investment community. He came to Deutsche Bank from Fortis Prime Fund Solutions where he was providing liquidity and currency hedging solutions to funds of hedge funds along with fund administration and custody services. His background also includes organizing a $4-billion-retail separately managed account distribution platform at Salomon Brothers Asset Management. Ajai started his career at Merrill Lynch & Co as a Pricing Specialist for the Securities Pricing Service group. He evaluated and provided valuation support for U.S. government securities, high yield bonds, municipal bonds, and mortgage-backed securities for subscribers of the service. He went on to start the Pricing and Corporate Actions Group at Lord Abbett & Co. He earned a B.S. in Finance from St. John's University. He holds a Credit Analysis Diploma and Certificate in Financial Risk Management from New York University.
